Abstract

This research paper delves into the dynamic landscape of skill development in rural Madhya Pradesh through the lens of the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY). Focused on empowering rural livelihoods, the study investigates the effectiveness of the DDU-GKY program in training individuals and facilitating their placement in gainful employment opportunities. The research employs a comprehensive analysis of skill development trends, highlighting the key aspects of the DDU-GKY initiative. A central focus is placed on evaluating the success of the program through the examination of the "trained to placed" percentage, a critical metric that reflects the efficiency of translating acquired skills into actual employment. Through a combination of quantitative data and qualitative insights, this paper aims to provide a nuanced understanding of the impact of DDU-GKY on rural skill development in Madhya Pradesh. The findings contribute valuable insights to policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders involved in shaping and refining skill development initiatives for sustainable rural empowerment.
