Spatial Analysis of Tourist Destination of Vagad Circuit of Rajasthan

राजस्थान के वागड सर्किट के पर्यटन स्थलों का स्थानिक विश्लेषण

Abstract

Rajasthan is considered one of the leading states in India from a tourism perspective. The state has not only carved a distinct identity on the national level but has also gained recognition on the world map due to its rich art and culture. Secondary data related to tourism indicate that, on average, every third tourist visiting India also visits Rajasthan. The cultural heritage of Rajasthan includes historical buildings, palaces, forts, monuments, etc., which narrate the glorious history of the state. It is our collective responsibility to preserve Rajasthan's magnificent history and cultural heritage for future generations. From a tourism perspective, Rajasthan has been divided into nine tourism circuits. Among these, the Vagad Circuit, located in the southern part of the state, holds special significance, primarily comprising the Dungarpur and Banswara districts. The history of the Vagad region is also remarkable. The palaces, temples, and forts of this region, along with its rolling green hills, dense forests, valleys, and small and large lakes, attract tourists. Since the natural beauty, palaces, and temples of the Vagad region serve as major tourist attractions, their conservation becomes essential. This research paper is based on the spatial analysis of tourist destinations in the Vagad Circuit of Rajasthan, highlighting the need to preserve the state's cultural heritage.

Abstract in Hindi Language: राजस्थान को पर्यटन की दृष्टि से भारत का एक अग्रणी राज्य माना जाता है। राज्य अपनी कला और संस्कृति से देश ही नही अपितु विश्व मानचित्र पर भी अलग पहचान बनाये है। पर्यटन सम्बन्धी द्वितीयक समंक बताते है कि भारत में आने वाला औसतन हर तीसरा पर्यटक राजस्थान आता है। राजस्थान राज्य की सांस्कृतिक विरासत में ऐतिहासिक इमारतें, महल, किले, स्मारक इत्यादि को सम्मिलित किया जाता है जो वर्षो के गौरवशाली इतिहास को बताते है। राज्य के गौरवशाली इतिहास और सांस्कृतिक विरासत को भावी पीढ़ी के लिए संरक्षित करने की हम सभी की जिम्मेदारी है। राजस्थान राज्य को पर्यटन की दृष्टि से नौ पर्यटन सर्किटों में बाँटा गया है। इन पर्यटन सर्किटों में राजस्थान के दक्षिण में अवस्थित वागड सर्किट का विशेष महत्व है जिसमें राज्य के डूंगरपुर और बांसवाड़ा जिले प्रमुख रूप से सम्मिलत किये जाते है। वागड क्षेत्र का इतिहास भी गौरवशाली रहा है। यहाँ के महलों, मंदिरों एवं किलों के साथ लहरदार हरी-भरी पहाडियों, घने जंगलों एवं घाटियों तथा छोटी-बड़ी झीलें पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करती है। चूंकि वागड क्षेत्र का प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य, महल, मंदिर इस क्षेत्र के प्रमुख आकर्षण के केन्द्र माने जाते है इसलिए इनका संरक्षण अपरिहार्य हो जाता है। प्रस्तुत शोध पत्र राजस्थान के वागड सर्किट के पर्यटन स्थलों के स्थानिक विश्लेषण पर आधारित है जिसमें राज्य की सांस्कृतिक विरासत के संरक्षण पर प्रकाश डाला गया है।
