सामाजिक स्तरीकरण और सामाजिक गतिशीलता की अवधारणा का अध्ययन

Abstract

Social mobility refers to the upward or downward movement that occurs within the system of social stratification, where an individual moves from one social level to another. Social stratification, on the other hand, is a hierarchical arrangement found among individuals or groups based on factors such as wealth, prestige, power, occupation, and income. Stratification arises due to the unequal distribution of resources, services, power, and prestige within a society, leading to disparities in rights and duties. Individuals who experience mobility—whether moving upward or downward—undergo changes in their social standing within the social hierarchy. They may gain or lose wealth, respect, power, and prestige, which in turn results in their membership in a new social class. This argument directs us toward the aspect of mobility that encompasses various means through which changes in an individual's social status occur.

Abstract in Hindi Language: सामाजिक गतिशीलता वह उच्च अथवा निम्न बदलाव है, जो सामाजिक स्तरीकरण की व्यवस्था के अंतर्गत एक सामाजिक स्तर से दूसरे सामाजिक स्तर की तरफ होता है, जिसका कि व्यक्ति भाग है। सामाजिक स्तरकरण जबकि धन, प्रतिष्ठा, शक्ति, व्यवसाय, आय इत्यादि आधार पर व्यक्तियों अथवा समूहों में पाया जाने वाला क्रम विन्यास है। स्तरीकरण वस्तुओं, सेवाओं, शक्ति एवं प्रतिष्ठा के असमान वितरण से उत्पन्न असमानता है जो समाजों में पाई जाती है। इसके परिणाम स्वरूप अधिकारों एवं कर्तव्यों में उत्पन्न असमानता भी स्तरीकरण का भाग बन जाती है। वे व्यक्ति जिनमें उच्चतर स्थान की ओर अथवा निचले स्तर की ओर गतिशीलता सामाजिक प्रस्थितियों के संदर्भ में पाई जाती है। वे सामाजिक संस्तरण में भी गतिशीलता अथवा सामाजिक क्रमविन्यास में भी परिवर्तन का अनुभव करते है। उन्हें धन, सम्मान शक्ति एवं प्रतिष्ठा कम अथवा अधिक प्राप्त होती है। जिसके परिणामस्वरूप वे नवीन सामाजिक वर्ग की सदस्यता प्राप्त करते है। यह तर्क हमें गतीशीलता के उस पक्ष की तरफ ले जाता है, जिसमें वे विभिन्न माध्यम सम्मिलित है, जिनसे  किसी व्यक्ति  की सामाजिक प्रस्थिति में परिवर्तन उत्पन्न होता है।
