Abstract

The advent of the digital age has significantly transformed the governance landscape in India. While e-governance has facilitated service delivery and transparency, it has also opened avenues for cybercrimes. This paper explores the nature and growth of cybercrimes in India, identifies the challenges they pose to public administration, and recommends administrative reforms to strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem. Drawing on legal frameworks, administrative responses, and case studies, the study argues for a comprehensive, adaptive, and participatory governance model to address the complexities of cybercrime effectively.
