This research paper offers an in-depth analysis of the ideological framework of "Integral Humanism" as propounded by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and seeks to clarify how this philosophy can serve as an effective and realistic political alternative for building a New India. Upadhyaya firmly believed that the solutions to India’s social, economic, and political challenges lie not in Western ideologies but within its own cultural consciousness and traditions. Integral Humanism presents a holistic worldview that emphasizes the interconnectedness of the individual, society, nation, and the universe, while maintaining a balance among the physical, mental, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions of life. This philosophy is not merely a theoretical proposition, but a practical approach offering concrete direction for nation-building. Focusing on the relevance of this ideology in the current socio-political and economic context of India, the study establishes that Integral Humanism represents a harmonious model of "holistic development," "indigenous economic policy," and "cultural nationalism" in the Indian context. The primary aim of this research paper is to establish Deendayal Upadhyaya’s philosophy as a foundational ideological direction and a viable political alternative for New India.
Abstract in Hindi Language: यह शोध-पत्र पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय द्वारा प्रतिपादित "एकात्म मानववाद" की वैचारिक संरचना का गहन विश्लेषण करता है तथा यह स्पष्ट करने का प्रयास करता है कि यह दर्शन नवभारत के निर्माण हेतु एक प्रभावी और यथार्थपरक राजनीतिक विकल्प के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया जा सकता है। उपाध्याय का विश्वास था कि भारत की सामाजिक, आर्थिक और राजनीतिक समस्याओं का समाधान पाश्चात्य अवधारणाओं में नहीं, बल्कि उसकी स्वयं की सांस्कृतिक चेतना और परंपरा में निहित है। एकात्म मानववाद एक समन्वित जीवन-दृष्टि है, जो व्यक्ति, समाज, राष्ट्र और सृष्टि के मध्य अंतर्संबंध को स्थापित करते हुए, जीवन के भौतिक, मानसिक, बौद्धिक तथा आध्यात्मिक पक्षों के संतुलन पर बल देती है। यह दर्शन केवल सैद्धांतिक विचार नहीं, बल्कि राष्ट्र निर्माण की ठोस दिशा देने वाला व्यावहारिक दृष्टिकोण है। वर्तमान भारत के सामाजिक, राजनीतिक एवं आर्थिक परिप्रेक्ष्य में इस विचारधारा की प्रासंगिकता को केंद्र में रखते हुए यह शोध यह स्थापित करता है कि एकात्म मानववाद भारतीय संदर्भ में ‘सर्वांगीण विकास’, ‘स्वदेशी अर्थनीति’ और ‘सांस्कृतिक राष्ट्रवाद’ का समन्वय प्रस्तुत करता है। इस शोध-पत्र का उद्देश्य दीनदयाल उपाध्याय के दर्शन को नवभारत की वैचारिक दिशा और वैकल्पिक राजनीति के अधिष्ठान के रूप में स्थापित करना है।
