Abstract

Climate has the greatest impact on the natural vegetation of any region and on the crops grown. Hence it is clear that the climate of a region controls its entire economy. This is the reason why the study of climate is important from both theoretical and practical point of view. The main elements of climate are precipitation, temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind etc. Of these elements of climate, the element affecting the human economy the most is precipitation. Since agriculture, which is the mainstay of the Indian economy, depends on the pattern and intensity of rainfall. But due to irregularity and inconsistency in rainfall, most of the area is dependent on irrigation for agriculture. These areas are located in arid or semi-arid regions and are completely dependent on irrigation facilities, as they receive less rainfall. Sumerpur Tehsil is situated in Pali District, which experiences scarcity of rainfall. In this research paper, we study the changes in the rainfall pattern in the study area in the last 20 years (2003-2022) on the basis of anthropogenic anomalies.
