Adolescence is a significant stage of life marked by various psychological and physiological changes. It is often characterized by emotional turmoil and confusion, requiring proper guidance and mentorship to ensure mental well-being. Mental well-being, an essential indicator of an individual’s overall health, plays a crucial role in the holistic development of children and adolescents. In the contemporary educational landscape, education is no longer confined to academic achievement alone but also emphasizes the development of values, emotional balance, and life skills. Therefore, this paper highlights the mental and emotional challenges faced by adolescents and explores possible approaches to improve their well-being. The study focuses on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) based on the CASEL framework and Rajyoga meditation rooted in spiritual practices. The integration of these approaches is considered highly suitable for value-based learning among adolescents, as the competencies of SEL complement the objectives of Rajyoga meditation. Furthermore, the integrated framework aligns with the perspectives of major psychological theories proposed by pioneer psychologists. The paper also recommends schools as well-structured environments for the effective dissemination of such programs. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to examine the combined impact of SEL and Rajyoga meditation on the mental well-being of adolescents.
